Job Description
The Airport Safety Specialist will be responsible for maintaining airport compliance with Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 139, Transportation Security Regulation (TSR) Part 1542, and all other applicable statutes, regulations, and requirements while ensuring the safety and security of all airport users. This role involves close collaboration with airport authorities, tenants, and regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to safety and security protocols.
Main Responsibilities
• Monitor and enforce adherence to safety and security protocols
• Conduct regular inspections of airport facilities and equipment
• Collaborate with airport authorities and tenants to identify and address safety and security concerns
• Develop and implement safety and security plans and procedures
• Provide training to airport staff on safety and security procedures
• Investigate incidents and accidents
• Report findings and recommendations to management
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
