Description:
This position will create value and further the role of supply chain through business analytics, sourcing, procurement and process improvement activities.
The successful candidate will have a strong analytics background with demonstrated abilities to understand and manipulate data. They will be a fast learner with the ability to adapt to change and to handle different projects with competing priorities at the same time. The ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment should energize you and motivate you.
This position will partner with operations teams to develop strategies through analytics, focused on minimizing total cost of ownership and maximizing supplier service quality.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create value for the organization by reducing costs, improving quality, and enhancing service levels
- Work on primary day to day supply chain support functions while also supporting analytical or process support for longer term strategic goals
- Support sourcing activities independently while gathering data to develop and get buy in on a strategy, conduct a sourcing event with analysis/ recommendations, negotiations and contracts
- Lead market intelligence efforts to understand market dynamics and opportunities
- Support operational needs related to new deliveries, inventory, material transfers, material tracking, repairs etc.
- Identify and implement process improvements through data collection and analytics
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Experience building strong and professional working relationships with internal customers and 3rd parties
- Experience working in direct categories (i.e. drilling or completions services) is a plus
- Ability to be proactive and possess strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Should have an understanding of cost drivers, relevant cost indices, and total cost of ownership/operation
- Strong proficiency in data analytics and data visualization (Excel, Spotfire, PowerBI, etc)
- Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity
- Strong organizational and communication skills required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- PREFERENCE: Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Supply Chain
- 2-8 years of experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. The ability to use a computer, tablet or smart phone for extended periods of time. Basic use of office equipment such as copier and fax machines. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, along with equipment necessary to design, draw, and execute plans.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work will vary due to workload and needs of the company.
TRAVEL:
Some local and out of town travel is expected for this position. Primary operational areas include Oklahoma and Ohio.
