Job Overview
We seek a dedicated Assistant BAS Project Manager to support the planning and execution of Building Automation System (BAS) projects in the commercial mechanical construction sector. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, Johnson Controls Metasys, and more. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in HVAC and control systems integration and a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in overseeing BAS project lifecycles, including design, installation, programming, and commissioning automation systems for commercial facilities.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to develop detailed system layouts, wiring diagrams, and project plans using tools like AutoCAD and Revit.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of BAS with HVAC, energy management, and mechanical systems.
- Provide hands-on support for configuring and troubleshooting DDC controls and BACnet communication protocols.
- Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful completion.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years in BAS, controls, or HVAC project coordination, preferably in the commercial mechanical construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Proficiency in BACnet, DDC controls, and BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, ALC, and Schneider Electric. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Visio is essential.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A local and stable work history in the Ellensburg, WA area, demonstrating reliability and long-term commitment to projects.
