Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct daily production activities across all shifts, ensuring efficiency and quality
- Assign tasks through supervisors and monitor department workflows to meet operational goals
- Manage encapsulation, counting, and inspection processes to maintain high-quality standards
- Provide clear work instructions, resolve operational challenges, and develop schedules to meet production targets
- Adapt production schedules as needed to accommodate shifting priorities and demands
- Plan and optimize equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization
- Coordinate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Prepare detailed reports on production activities for executive management
- Ensure seamless movement of materials, parts, and assemblies within the production pipeline
- Implement continuous improvement practices to optimize production yields and efficiency
- Troubleshoot operational issues, develop solutions, and update workflows as necessary
- Conduct annual performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Ensure compliance with company policies, cGMPs, SOPs, and safety protocols
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous learning within the department
- Collaborate with the executive team on strategic initiatives and operational improvements
- Minimum of 8 years in manufacturing management within Medical, Food, Pharmaceutical, Dietary, or related industries
- Extensive understanding of FDA and other regulatory agencies and compliance
- Proven experience leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced, regulated environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and implement improvements
- Skilled in identifying and executing cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and safety
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and business operations
- Ability to challenge the status quo and drive positive change
- Open to learning, adaptable to change, and receptive to constructive feedback
- Comfortable working with diverse teams across cultures
- Committed to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Supply Chain or Business Management and/or equivalent work experience in manufacturing for at least 6 years
- Manufacturing management 8 years
- FDA and other regulatory type compliance agencies 8 years
- Nutraceuticals/supplements manufacturing 5 years and/or similar industry
- Supply chain management 4 years
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using manufacturing software, NetSuite and MS Office Suite
- Three quarters of work time must be spent on the floor in production
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
