What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Team Member position at Gundalow Gourmet?
Daily Kitchen Cleaning and Maintenance
- Wash and correctly store dishes, pots, pans and utensils, by hand or dishwasher
- Sweep and mop floors
- Restock and maintain inventory of kitchen supplies
- Log refrigerator and freezer temperatures
- Clean and sanitize cooking equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing equipment including grease trap
- Take out trash and recycling and maintain cleanliness of receptacles
- Perform deep cleaning as well as maintain daily cleanliness of kitchen
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Food Prep and Cooking
- Prepare baked goods and savory items as directed
- Prepare ingredients including meat and fresh produce
- Prepare simple dishes as directed
- Follow written recipes and verbal instructions
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards and regulations
- Assist with receiving, inspection, and storage of ingredients and supplies
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand for 6 hours at a time
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to twist and turn
- Must have safe knife handling skills
- Must be a team player and work well with others
- Must have high attention to detail

Schedule and Compensation
- Monday through Thursday 10am-3pm. Flexibility may be considered.
- Starting at $15/hour tips. Varies based on experience.
