Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician (MLT/MLS/CLS) | Winona Campus

Schedule Weekly Hours:

Gundersen Health System is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician to join our Winona Campus laboratory team. Associates degree or higher in Medical Laboratory/Technology required. ASCP certification is beneficial but not required.

What You'll Do:

You will perform routine laboratory testing on a variety of specimens and demonstrate competency within the full scope of laboratory procedures, chemical, microscopic, bacteriologic, molecular, and transfusion medicine. You will analyze information, monitor quality performance, and take action to ensure the efficient delivery of accurate and timely laboratory test results and services. This position will also be responsible for the development and implementation of laboratory procedures, as well as the maintenance of quality control in the laboratory understanding the requirements and standards of regulating agencies to ensure compliance within the laboratory.

What's Available:

• Fulltime - 72 hours biweekly (0.9 FTE)

• 8hr day shifts starting at 6a or 8:30a, with occasional evening (1p-9:30p) as needed. Every 4th weekend rotation and roughly 2 holidays per year

• Starting pay of $28.48/hr and up, based on your years of experience

What You'll Need:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field

• MLS/MT/CLS graduating students/candidates are encouraged to apply

• Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including blood sampling, specimen collection, processing, and analysis

• Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues

• ASCP Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Certification is preferred but not required
