Job Summary

Acts as a steward of public trust and an agent of the Gunnison County Clerk and Recorder’s Office and the State of Colorado. A variety of high level and complex clerical/secretarial work will be performed while enforcing compliance with statutory, mandates, and Department of Revenue directives governing motor vehicle titling and registration. This position may also assist with election duties throughout the year via voter registration/updates, working at Voter Service Polling Centers, learning and assisting with the operation of voting equipment and software.

Pay Rate

The monthly range is from $4,825.07 to $5,493.46, depending on experience, plus full benefits.

Requirements

• Job offer is contingent upon successful passing of a Colorado Bureau of Investigation background check.
• Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Must complete ICS 100, 200 and 700 within the first year of employment.
• Complete and obtain a Colorado Notary Public certificate via online training within three (3) months of employment.
• May be required to work in many aspects of the Elections Office.
  
  

Qualifications/Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three (3) or more years of increasingly responsible experience in a public facing office or any equivalent combination of related education/experience.
• Previous experience in a Motor Vehicle environment and knowledge of the laws, regulations, and procedures in the review and issuance of licensing.
• Previous supervisory experience.
