Requirements:
To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a business, healthcare administration or related major.
- Experience: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible administrative experience, involving customer service, admissions and/or billing experience with at least (1) year in a lead or supervisory position. Two (2) years minimum of hospital/clinic experience in an admissions, billing or healthcare customer service department. Knowledge of customer service practices and customer oriented telephone etiquette. Cash, check and credit card handling techniques. Principles and practices of effective leadership and employee supervision, including training, hiring and performance evaluation.
Responsibilities:
As the Director of Patient Access at Gunnison Valley Health, you will assume responsibility for the administration and management of the department. You’ll plan, organize, direct, coordinate and control the resources to achieve department objectives. You’ll utilize your unique skills and ideas by:
- Managing, and directing the plan, design and coordination of programs within the Patient Access Department.
- Directing the departmental quality improvement efforts to achieve optimal productivity, operational effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction of internal and external customers.
- Developing and managing operational initiatives with measurable outcomes. Formulating objectives, goals and strategies collaboratively with other stakeholders as needed.
- Prioritizing, assigning, evaluating and supervising the work of all team members. Providing coaching and guidance for performance improvement and development, directing and overseeing the training of new representatives.

Compensation: $49.45 - $60.58/hr, depending on experience.

Full Time staff are automatically enrolled in 401A plan as of date of hire.
Life and AD&D insurance: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire date.
Short-term and long-term disability: All active employees working 60 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire date.
