Construction Operations Director
Gunter Construction is seeking an experienced Concrete Construction Operations Director to oversee and manage concrete construction projects, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence. This role, reporting directly to ownership, requires a strong background in concrete construction, project management, and estimating. The ideal candidate has a successful track record in civil concrete construction with a focus on safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Oversee and develop estimating, project management, and field operations teams for concrete projects.
- Operations Management: Manage budgeting, scheduling, and project coordination to drive timely, efficient project completion.
- Quality & Safety: Implement rigorous quality control and safety measures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and control budgets.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve project challenges promptly to avoid delays.
- Project Supervision: Oversee project phases from planning to completion, ensuring milestones are met consistently.
Expectations
- Experience: 7 in a leadership role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business, or related field experience.
- OSHA 30 Certification required.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of DOT regulations and civil concrete construction practices, including site preparation and foundations.
