We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to oversee and manage the successful execution of construction projects from initiation to completion for an innovative manufacturing company transforming the built world. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial construction, excellent leadership abilities, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-10 years experience in commercial construction project management with a general contractor.
- PMP certification (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, budget, and risk management strategies.Define project objectives, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with key stakeholders.Coordinate and allocate resources effectively, ensuring all team members have the necessary tools and supportTeam Management
Lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative environment.Assign tasks, track progress, and provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle.Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback to ensure high productivity and quality standards.Budget & Resource Management
Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring effective cost control.Approve pay applications, negotiate subcontractor change orders, and track project expenses.Manage project logistics and ensure efficient resource allocation.Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and vendors.Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project progress and challenges.Identify and address any concerns, escalating issues when necessary.Risk & Quality Management
Maintain adherence to safety standards and ensure all required documentation is filed.Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to contractual and company standards.Project Delivery & Closeout
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and at the highest quality level.Oversee the closeout process efficiently, ensuring all required documentation is complete.Conduct post-project evaluations and apply lessons learned to future projects.Qualifications
Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and contract negotiation.Ability to read, interpret, and update construction drawings and project-related documentationProficient in project management software such as Microsoft Project, ProCore, Bluebeam, and JD Edwards.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of current market conditions, pricing conventions, and trends.GPA prides itself on providing quality, personalized services to its clients and candidates.
