Become an integral part of the Books: A Whiskey Society team, where sophistication, craftsmanship, and exceptional guest experiences come together. We are looking for a dedicated Barback to support our bartenders and ensure seamless bar operations while maintaining the highest standard of service.
Responsibilities:
• Bar Support:
• Assist bartenders in the preparation and service of drinks to ensure smooth and timely service.
• Stock and replenish bar supplies, including liquor, glassware, garnishes, and utensils.
• Support bartenders during busy periods by fulfilling drink orders and assisting with customer service.
• Bar Maintenance:
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area throughout the shift.
• Collect and wash glassware, utensils, and bar equipment as needed.
• Perform opening and closing duties to prepare and close the bar efficiently.
• Inventory and Supplies:
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need reordering.
• Assist with restocking and organizing inventory in alignment with the bar’s operational needs.
• Equipment and Repairs:
• Handle minor repairs and maintenance tasks related to bar equipment.
• Customer Experience:
• Support the team in delivering an exceptional guest experience, maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service practices, including checking IDs and monitoring guest behavior.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a barback or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of bar operations and beverage service is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent multitasking, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
• Must be of legal drinking age.
