Gusto is searching for an experienced Procurement Manager who will be tasked with leading procurement efforts to efficiently and effectively enable business units to maximize the value they receive from suppliers and meet their objectives. This role will report directly to the Head of Procurement at Gusto and enable procurement from initial request through final delivery, contract negotiation, and execution, as well as ongoing supplier performance management for various indirect spend categories.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner across the business to develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories, with particular focus on Professional Services and Technology spend.
- Collaborate with other team members and streamline procurement and sourcing processes and procedures - driving controls, visibility, and efficiency.
- Educate stakeholders on the procurement processes as well as the value that the procurement team can deliver.
- Lead and set strategy for supplier contract negotiations.
- Ensure that benefits from the strategic sourcing process are sustained and extended during the period of the contracts through ongoing improvement strategies and initiatives including post sourcing.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including legal, security, finance, and internal business partners.
- Bring best practices to develop, implement, and manage policies and processes that scale our financial operations.
- Define and report on key metrics that measure effectiveness of supply and cost savings.
- Optimize operations across supplier, contracting, and P2P workflows, partnering closely with FP&A and Accounts Payable
Experience:
- Experience managing multiple indirect spend categories such as technology, marketing, real estate, services etc. and demonstrated record of achieving cost savings and/or delivering other value-add to the business.
- 8 years of proven track record in Procurement Operations and Strategic Sourcing/Negotiations including Supplier Risk and Relationship Management.
- 5 years of experience in high-tech company or similar
- Excellent negotiating skills and strong ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents.
- Coupa, Ironclad and NetSuite experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to build/maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
- Effective and excellent analytical, problem solving, planning, and project management skills.
Our cash compensation range for this role is $117,000/yr to $129,000/yr in Denver & most remote locations, and $143,000/yr to $158,000/yr in San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
