POSITION SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate has strong customer service acumen and is a collaborative utility player within the Commercial Sales group. This role focuses heavily on supporting commercial customer accounts of all sizes and working in tandem with the sales representatives to improve the customer experience. The candidate must be willing to be the “front line” for our customers. Top-rated customer service is a priority.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ideal candidate will have a proven history of representing a team both internally and externally, while developing an understanding of the customer’s needs. This includes their place in the market, their product/service, and competitive landscape. The candidate must have a willingness to manage day-to-day customer communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new and upcoming business. The candidate must also be able to proactively remain connected to customers and troubleshoot issues.

ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Run ad-hoc analyses for both internal and external parties.
- Ensure and maintain proper invoicing for customers, keeping the credit/rebill rate minimal.
- Review the best delivered inquiry to complete the load balance spreadsheet to provide direction to carriers.
- Maintain customer keep fill programs in cohesion with carrier partners.
- Establish and build strong working relationships with business leaders at all levels.
- Own customer billing and credit to ensure accuracy and precision, utilizing many internal tools and reports (PowerBI, Right Angle, etc.).
- Work with the company’s CRM software, using this to accurately record current customer interactions as well as new customers.
- Field and provide resolution to any inquiries from common carriers regarding various reports related to supply and logistics.
- Field customer calls after normal business hours.
- As necessary, attend periodic in-person customer visits, as well as industry events.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor’s degree in business (Marketing) from an accredited four-year college or university. Experience in account management is a plus. Additionally, a high degree of personal initiative and self-motivation is required as are proven critical thinking skills and:

- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to think innovatively to create value added solutions for prospects and customers in a competitive and commoditized industry to achieve individual and company objectives.
- Ability to understand problems and make timely, practical business decisions.
- Intermediate Computer Skills: Experience and understanding working in Windows, Internet Explorer and MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Power BI reporting, and Right Angle.
