In this role, you will be the driving force behind a smooth and positive guest experience, overseeing all aspects of the Front Desk department. This role will oversee the daily operations of the front office staff. This includes scheduling, planning, and communicating departmental strategies and goals. You will also conduct routine inspections of the front desk and public areas to ensure a welcoming environment for our guests. Additionally, you will assist in maximizing hotel revenue generation and serve as a manager on duty when needed.
Responsibilities:
Lead and Motivate:
Directly supervise and mentor a team of front office staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Evaluate the performance of each front office employee, providing constructive feedback and fostering development.
Guest Experience Champion:
Serve as the 'Service Champion', ensuring guests receive prompt, courteous, and efficient service at every touchpoint, from reservations to check-out.
Training and Development:
Train, cross-train, and retrain front office staff, ensuring consistent high-quality service delivery.
Efficiently and courteously resolve any guest issues that arise, ensuring their satisfaction.
Policy Enforcement:
Maintain strict adherence to all cash handling, check cashing, and credit card policies.
Team Collaboration:
Build and maintain strong relationships with other departments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, including proper uniform attire and a commitment to the hotel's hospitality standards
Adaptability:
Be available to cover any shift, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Act as Manager on Duty:
During assigned shifts, overseeing workloads, ensuring proper room status and communication, and verifying all tasks are completed according to checklists.
Qualifications:
Previous Front Office Management experience is preferred
Minimum 3-year Front Desk Agent AND 1-year Supervisory Role in Hospitality
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Exceptional guest service skills with a passion for exceeding expectations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with Opera Cloud PMS is preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required
