Job Description; Design Consultant
Proven leader in turn-key solutions for hardwood flooring, tile and natural stone seeks an experienced showroom Design Consultant to manage a large client base of Builders and their homebuyers. In this role, the Design Consultant guides new homebuyers through the extensive process of material selections for local semi-custom, new construction homes. Position reports to the Design Center Manager and to the Builder Division VP.
Responsibilities include;
- Conduct personalized buyer consultations from start to finish, guiding clients through the design and finalization of hard surfaces, such as; hardwood, natural stone, tile, carpet and decorative finishes.
- Manage the homebuyer’s experience and expectations throughout the design process. Provide clients with design expertise and in-depth product knowledge, pricing, and highly detailed documentation. Create design elevations and diagrams for client sign-off and field installation. Manage files and share relevant information for both internal/external use with each Builder.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with a multitude of new homebuyers, Builder Sales Associates, and Project Managers. Serves as design liaison between all related parties.
- Maintain showroom organization and participate in on-going product training sessions to stay current with styles, trends and best practices.
Skills and Abilities:
Microsoft Office; Auto CAD and/or SketchUp software a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on high-level customer service.
Extremely detail orientated, organized, and an ability to manage multiple projects quickly.
Design and/or construction industry experience is required, real estate a plus.
Ability to creatively inspire design ideas and encourage clients to realize their vision while still meeting budgets and construction deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
