Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated IT Support professional to join our team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance in software (desktop and web).
- Operate a variety of computer hardware and software as well as standard office equipment.
- Quickly learn the use of new technologies and applications.
- Keep up to date with technology.
- Set up new computers and user accounts.
- Maintain inventory procedures and policies for IT equipment.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Communicate clearly and easily with users and vendors of varying levels of technical expertise; ask questions and get information to diagnose computer problems and discern what level of support is needed when a problem is presented.
- Work as part of a team in stressful situations; maintain composure when working with interruptions and occasional angry customers.
- Use initiative and sound independent judgment within established guidelines.
- Perform complicated administrative and technical projects with minimal guidance.
- Carry out complex operations procedures and independently resolve processing errors.
- General knowledge in network and hardware (server and workstations).
- General knowledge of HTML and JavaScript.
- Ability to multi-task and be organized.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and on a team.
- Principles and practices of computer and telephone support services, computer hardware and software applications and associated security and backup procedures.
Education and Experience:
Higher Education Preferred
