What We Are Looking For
GVEC is looking to hire you for the position of Community Relations Support Driver to deliver the unexpected with a willingness to continuously develop yourself, your department, and our organization. As a Community Relations Support Driver, you will help be responsible for ensuring a high-quality experience for members utilizing the Port-O-Cool service as well as provide general preparation, transport and driving assistance for various community events as needed.
Your Pay
The pay range for this role is between $15.00-$22.00/hr. and will be commensurate based on your skills, qualifications and experience. In addition, GVEC ties cash bonuses to a multitude of organizational benchmarks set forth annually.
How You’ll Help
- Inventory and inspect equipment parts and general condition before and after each use
- Ensure the prompt delivery, setup and pickup of Port-O-Cool fans as scheduled across the GVEC service area
- Act as a GVEC Community Relations Representative with event contacts to gain location instructions and fulfill customer needs
- Train event contacts on the proper and safe handling of Port-O-Cool units while in use
- Assist with various Community Relations transport and driving needs as necessary
Experience/Skills You’ll Need
- Demonstrated ability to hook up, transport and maneuver a flatbed trailer loaded with multiple Port-O-Cool units
- Flexibility to work after business hours and/or on weekends if necessary
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and confidently
- Excellent problem-solving skills - able to effectively troubleshoot minor issues independently
- Willingness to be a dependable team player
- Ability to lift items at a minimum of 50 lbs
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Small engine repair knowledge is a plus.
