Job Summary:
The HR Generalist is responsible for managing various human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration. This role serves as a key support to the HR department, ensuring that HR policies and procedures align with company goals while fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Assist in sourcing, screening, and hiring candidates.
- Conduct new employee orientations and ensure smooth onboarding.
- Maintain job descriptions and assist with workforce planning.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and provide guidance.
- Assist in conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Promote a positive and inclusive work culture.
- Compliance & Policies:
- Ensure company policies align with labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality.
- Assist with HR audits and compliance reporting.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Support benefits enrollment and administration.
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, leave, and benefits.
- Collaborate with finance/payroll teams for accurate processing.
- Training & Development:
- Coordinate training programs and professional development initiatives.
- Support leadership in succession planning and career development efforts.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in HR roles, preferably in a generalist capacity.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices. Experience with California regulations preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in HR software (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with recruitment, payroll, or employee engagement programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
