We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our amazing team. For over 50 years, Pearson Sales has been providing safe, quality, food ingredients to food manufacturers throughout the United States.
This position ensures HR initiatives align with business objectives while fostering a positive work environment and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Recruitment: Coordinate recruitment efforts and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the process, including resume review, phone interviews and scheduling interviews with hiring managers. Assist in preparing offer letters and managing the onboarding process.
- Performance Management: Assist in developing and implementing performance management systems. Provide consistent coaching to managers and employees to drive productivity and engagement. Work with leaders to identify performance gaps to help develop employees.
- HR Compliance: Ensure all HR practices adhere to legal regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation. Enforce and educate staff on company policy. Responsible for system and compliance audits. Maintains personnel records and DOT file compliance. Collaborate with the Head of HR to identify trends or areas for improvement.
- Training and Development: Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and performance assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional certifications, etc.
- Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, providing support and guidance and responding to employee inquiries. Manage employee relation grievances, assist in investigations into employee concerns, complaints, and issues. Maintain thorough documentation of investigations and outcomes.
- Attendance Tracking: Maintain and monitor employee attendance records; coordinate disciplinary actions with General Manager in accordance with company attendance policy.
- Culture & Engagement: Help foster a positive, supportive company culture by assisting in the planning and coordination of employee engagement events and initiatives.
- Additional HR Support: Complete other HR-related projects and tasks as assigned by leadership.

Education/Experience
- College degree (AA/BS/BA) in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience within Human Resources
- Experience with HRIS and Timekeeping systems
- Intermediate or advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication, multitasking, and follow-through skills
Certificates/Licenses/Clearances
- HR Certification by an accredited organization preferred

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
