Driven 2 Succeed (D2S) is a youth-development program for elementary, middle, and high school students that provides support in the areas of academia, social emotional learning, and college and career readiness.
Position Specific Summary
The Student Communications Assistant position is a part-time semester or year-long opportunity with the possibility of extension. Student workers are required to serve an average of 5-10 hours per week with Raising A Village Foundation (RAVF). The Communications Assistant's primary responsibility is to maintain the organization's brand and build brand loyalty via RAVF's communications mediums.
Standard Position Description
The student will provide assistance in management and planning for print, web, social media, and / or other digital content. Tasks may include : reviewing existing departmental websites and suggest edits, executing a marketing plan, website maintenance, updating and / or developing key materials and opportunities used to promoting departmental expertise and practices, editing or creating videos, and assisting in the management of social media channels, including writing and posting original content. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental / faculty needs.

Required Qualifications
Some applicable educational, technical, or professional experience required, some training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
Some college experience, high school diploma. Must possess strong writing skills, verbal communication, Adobe Illustrator Suite, Photoshop, Hootsuite, and Mailchimp.
