The Fitzhugh Mullan Institute for Health Workforce Equity, in the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University, is seeking a student communications position for the Social Mission Alliance (SMA) - a growing national movement to address health equity through health professions education and training.
The mission of the SMA is to promote social mission in health professions education by promoting networking among learners, teachers, community leaders, health policymakers, and their organizations to advance equity in education, research, service, and policy. The SMA provides networking opportunities through its national conference, Student Assembly, Health Justice Fellowship program, and Health Workforce Diversity Tracker project.

Job Duties :
Standard Position Description
The student will manage and / or design marketing and communication strategies and content for departments and / or special events. Tasks may include : Planning, creating, managing and executing marketing plans and campaigns, website resources, digital content and design, and / or managing of social media accounts. While completing work with a high degree of discretion, the student will work within organization marketing standards and guidelines. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.

Required Qualifications
Previous skills, training, or experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
GW student enrolled in a graduate program in public health, public administration, health policy, or related field with experience in communications, website updates, and social media.
