The Engagement Program Leader aims to provide a variety of marketing related projects in support of the department to include photography, online graphic creation, content creation, graphic design/marketing materials, optimizing campaigns, multi-media, and social media.
Essential Duties
- Staying up to date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
- Posting on all social media platforms
- Creating creative content for our social media platforms and manage content calendar.
- Creating engaging text, image and video content
- Creating and optimize social media pages
- Suggesting new ways to attract prospective customers
- Working with staff and others overseeing the weekend operation of facility rentals that includes: documenting issues, writing work orders, supervising facilities and assisting special interest groups, dealing with the public concerning special events, programs, facility information, property used, enforcing policies, guidelines and rules as to the use of facilities, opening & closing facility and insuring all equipment is properly accounted for, assisting with special events, special programs, etc.
- Assisting with the proper maintenance of facilities and grounds daily, performing general housekeeping & maintenance duties and ensuring the facility is in safe condition
- The work is typically performed in an outdoor environment., compiling attendant manuals and assisting with the training of facility attendants
- The incumbent must be able to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds and will be required to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis
- Supervising rentals at buildings and pavilions in Gwinnett County
- Have experience managing Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat.
- Ability to analyze data/metrics and create reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, and ability to "think outside the box
- Knowledgeable of current trends.
- Have Customer Service Experience
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid Driver's License from state of residency
- Associates Degree in Parks and Recreation, Tourism, Marketing or related field.
- Experience in recreation programming, customer service, marketing and tourism.
- Knowledge of Gwinnett County Park locations
- Problem solving skills in interpersonal relations, oral and written communications, effective customer service techniques and instructing and supervising others
- Skill in developing resources for program/service information
