Gwinnett County Community Services maintains and operates the county's award-winning park system and provides high quality Community Services facilities, innovative programs, and provides space to bring a variety of community programs and agencies and quality services to meet the broad-based needs of Gwinnett's diverse population, fostering a sense of community, creating a safe and secure environment, and enhancing Gwinnett's quality of life. Gwinnett County Community Services administers parks operations, programs, buildings, and aquatic centers for our citizens.
This position involves assisting in the day-to-day operations of Gwinnett County Community Services, Park Operations Center. This position is responsible for performing entry level receptionist duties, such as greeting and assisting customers, answering, and directing phone calls, taking messages, and maintaining department and County phone numbers, asset management data entry, performing basic office duties, such as copying, filing, faxing, typing standard documents, preparing, sorting, and distributing mail, entering data, and running basic or standard reports. The position is also responsible for maintaining paper and electronic logs, forms, files, and other documents, prepares items for storage or destruction, and assists in maintaining the security and confidentiality of applicable information. The incumbent may also be responsible for scheduling conferences and interviews, County vehicles, and/or meetings.
This position is a grade 97.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid driver's license from state of residency
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of administrative support or related office experience
- Previous work with seniors
