Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment for children while providing them with fun and educational experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young campers.
Duties:
- Plan and lead a variety of age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, sports, games, and nature exploration
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times
- Supervise and monitor campers during activities, meals, and free time
- Assist with the development and implementation of daily schedules and routines
- Provide guidance and support to campers in building positive relationships with peers
- Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment that promotes teamwork, respect, and personal growth
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding camper progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in a theater, childhood development, daycare, or childcare setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to educate and engage children in a variety of subjects and activities
- Strong classroom management skills to ensure a safe and structured environment
- Experience coaching or working with students in sports or recreational activities is a plus
- First aid certification is preferred but not required
