Position Summary
The Payroll Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring payroll tax accuracy and maintaining compliance with tax regulations. Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and update multi-state payroll tax data to ensure payroll information is reported to federal, state, and local agencies as required.
- Weekly administration of payroll tax activities (federal, state, local withholdings) for assigned legal entities to ensure all jurisdictions and states are set-up correctly in the payroll/third party tax administrator’s system.
- This role will support the review of accurate and timely federal, multi-state and multi-jurisdiction withholding tax payments made by our third-party tax administrator.
- Q&A W2 corrections, reissues, and processing amendments.
- Perform compliance, review, and approval for year-end reporting and processing to our third-party tax administrator.
- Review payroll tax processing procedures.
- Work with State and local agencies to set up new State and Local tax jurisdictions.
- Subject matter expert/resource for the payroll team, third part tax administrator and special projects.
- Work with the Payroll Manager to evaluate and maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date process documentation.
- Assist the Payroll Manager with special tax-related projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
- Strong Microsoft office skills
- Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll laws a plus
- Experience with Dayforce a plus
