GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is currently seeking a motivated Entry Level Environmental Engineer/ Scientist to join our growing Environmental Practice in Lansdale or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate is a registered Engineer-in-Training with a desire to conduct inspections and soil and water sampling in the field. As an Entry Level Environmental Engineer/ Scientist, you will work on a wide variety of exciting projects amongst a team of dedicated project managers and principals. Our close-knit culture here at GZA will allow you to apply your expertise and diversify your skill set by participating in challenging projects. You will be mentored by seasoned professional engineers and geologists, who will in turn look to you to share technical knowledge and ideas. Our success relies on this collaborative environment.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Perform field tasks, collect samples, and assist with the technical execution of projects.
- Conduct field and office QA/QC responsibilities on environmental remediation and construction sites.
- Participate in, and support site remedial designs, and feasibility studies.
- Prepare engineering inspection, feasibility, and design reports.
- Prepare construction and bid documents including drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
- GZA emphasizes a One Company environment, and as a member of our team, you may be asked to assist on projects and tasks outside of your primary responsibilities.
What You Will Be Bringing:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field is required.
- Engineer-in-Training certification.
- 1 years of relevant work experience preferred (internship is acceptable).
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus.
- Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office preferred.
- AutoCAD and/or ArcMap GIS skills a plus.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a professional attitude.
- Ability to perform field tasks and activities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Occasional out-of-town (overnight) travel will be required. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and consistent means of transportation to/from project sites located throughout the tri-state area.
