Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bilingual Construction Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all activities are executed efficiently and effectively. This position requires strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of construction management principles, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders on the construction site.
Duties
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely product arrivals at project sites, including the selection of proper carriers, routes, and modes of transportation.
- Communicate with installation coordinators and project managers to confirm unload schedules and necessary resources.
- Liaise with vendors, shipping companies, and third-party logistics providers to track shipments, maintain lead times, and resolve any logistical challenges.
- Ensure proper shipping documents are accurate and compliant with company standards.
- Track and trace shipments using the job tracker Excel sheet, ensuring data is updated regularly with delivery dates, quantities, and other essential details.
- Provide timely delivery status updates and coordinate necessary adjustments with Installation Managers, Coordinators, and PM operations team members.
- Collaborate with the PM operations team to verify that shipments are received accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, timelines, costs, and any logistical adjustments, documenting them thoroughly in the job tracker.
- Monitor delivery times, and potential delays, providing recommendations to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with warehouse and storage facilities to confirm inventory availability and manage necessary product transfers.
- Ensure all delivery and unloading processes meet safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Identify opportunities to streamline logistics processes and enhance overall service delivery.
- Following up on bid with general contractors and customers.
- Assisting with answering phones in the office
- Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive project plans that outline tasks, timelines, and resource allocation
- Monitor progress on construction sites, addressing any issues that arise promptly to minimize delays
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and tools is essential.
- Proficiency in using construction management software such as HeavyBid and Acumatica is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent project management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams on construction sites while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and basic logistics software.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
