Position Summary
The outside sales trainee will learn the Williams business and become familiar with the commercial lighting industry through intensive cross-functional sales training. The trainee will work in each of the customer service, quotations, technical services groups, learn the product line, and spend time with outside sales managers before taking on rep account ownership.
Position Responsibilities
- Enter purchase orders, replacements, and credit memos
- Resolve customer issues with a positive and friendly approach
- Generate quotations as requested by outside sales rep
- Follow Up on outstanding quotes prior to expiration
- Relay market pricing feedback to sales management
- Assist in rep training sessions of sales tools
- Attend industry tradeshows, agency showcases, etc., as required
- Become extremely knowledgeable with the competitive landscape
- Give product demos and sales presentations to visitors, admin, and outside sales
- Cohost factory visits during key customer visits
- Utilize company CRM software to log sales activity and manage follow-up
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience in Sales & Marketing
- Travel as needed
- This position is deemed safety-sensitive
