Job Overview
Come join one of the area’s leading contractors in the installation of airport runway lighting, signage, lighting vaults, duct banks, conductors and navigational aids on Commercial and General Aviation airports located within 1.5 hours of Orlando, FL.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Foreman to assist one of our Superintendents in leading our construction team in executing projects efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management.
Expected 40 or more hours/week. Shifts may vary every few months based on current project.
Duties
- Communicate clearly and effectively with both superintendent and crew members.
- Coordinate the activities of construction workers on-site to ensure project milestones are met.
- Implement OSHA safety standards to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Support team members via training/advice on best practices in construction techniques and safety protocols.
- Assist in resolving any issues that arise during the construction process promptly and effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of underground lighting and construction methods and techniques.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and superiors.
