Job Overview
H & N Services LLC is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in providing high-quality care to children with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and dementia, ensuring their rights and dignity are upheld.
Responsibilities
Provide Care and Supervision:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents by maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment.
Support Development:
- Implement individualized care plans, behavior support plans, and goals to promote skill-building and independence.
- Encourage residents to participate in community activities and social interactions.
Monitor and Document:
- Record daily progress, incidents, and other relevant information in compliance with state and company regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to residents’ care, including medical and behavioral data.
Promote Emotional Support:
- Build positive and supportive relationships with residents, fostering a sense of trust and security.
- Use de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors and promote emotional regulation.
Collaborate with Team Members:
- Work closely with other DSPs, supervisors, therapists, and families to ensure cohesive care and support.
- Participate in regular training and staff meetings to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Experience
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is preferred.
- Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy principles is essential.
- Experience in direct support roles within assisted living or similar environments is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and team members.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that respects the dignity of all individuals.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Pay: $15.15 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Overnight shift
- Weekends as needed
