Architectural Millwork Engineer

Responsibilities:
Review, analyze and interpret specifications and architectural drawings
- Review take-offs and project details with the project manager to determine the requirements of the project
- Produce preliminary technical drawings, develop plans and models for projects
- Revise shop drawings and final engineering of product to meet field conditions
- Produce work orders based on final engineering of products
- Create detailed shop drawings, diagrams and instructions to complete work order
- Produce CNC programs for shop production
- Optimize final material requirements for projects and piece specific materials take-off
- Provide ongoing support to project management team as required throughout the course of the project, including shop drawings, revising shop drawings, material requisition and engineering
- Analyze, develop and improve engineering processes through waste reduction, error proofing and design standardization
- Understand and apply AWS Standards
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in nested base CNC production
- Knowledge and experience in operating CNC machines
- Proficiency in AutoCAD’s full suite of products
- Experience working in AlphaCAM or equivalent production software
- Experience in Cabinet Vision a plus
- Must be extremely detail oriented and be able to prioritize and manage complex projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced computer and applications knowledge
- Ability to provide accurate answers and explain deviations to general contractors and engineers
- Must possess strong organizational skills
- Must possess strong math skills
- Must be team oriented, working well with peers and management
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Excellent technical analytical and reasoning skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to consistently meet due dates
