Senior Scrum Master
Overview:
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in guiding and facilitating agile development teams. Your expertise in Scrum methodology, coaching, and leadership will contribute to successful project execution. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor other Scrum Masters, and ensure the smooth flow of work.
Responsibilities:
• Coaching and Thought Leadership:
o Provide coaching and thought leadership on Agile principles to the team.
o Embrace and demonstrate the servant leadership philosophy.
• Scrum Execution:
o Ensure the quality of Scrum execution, including story card definition of readiness and done.
o Commit to on-time delivery.
o Work with the Product Owner to balance features and high-quality working software.
o Facilitate Release (Planning) Workshops.
o Monitor transparency of release vision.
o Promote commonly accepted Agile/Scrum practices.
o Coordinate among the Scrum Team and monitor adherence to Scrum practices.
o Keep the team focused on current Sprint goals.
• Qualifications:
o Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, CSPO, PSM, CSP, PMI-ACP, SAFe).
o Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related fields.
o Desired skills: Kanban, conflict resolution, facilitation, situational awareness, empowerment, transparency, servant leadership, XP, and Agile principles.
o Experience maintaining team performance metrics, educating the Scrum Team, and driving productivity improvements.
o Ability to champion quality and technical excellence.
• Agile Practices and Framework Knowledge:
o Deep understanding of agile methodologies and the Scrum framework.
o Mastery of agile principles, values, and mechanics.
o Ability to apply various agile practices effectively, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
• Facilitation and Coaching Abilities:
o Exceptional facilitation skills to guide teams through Scrum events and decision-making processes.
o Act as a coach for the development team, product owner, and the entire organization.
o Foster an environment of open collaboration, self-organization, and continuous improvement.
• Leadership and Strategic Mindset:
o Influence organizational change and drive strategic initiatives.
o Mentor other Scrum Masters and Agile practitioners within the organization.
o Provide leadership that empowers teams to achieve their goals.
• Conflict Resolution:
o Effective conflict resolution skills to address team dynamics and challenges.
o Create a positive and productive working environment by resolving conflicts constructively.

• Certifications: PMP, CSM, CSPO, PSM, CSP, PMI-ACP, SPC, SAFe, ITIL.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Education, Business, Engineering, or related fields.
