Responsibilities:
As an AR Billing & Collections Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the billing process and improving collections for Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Physical Therapy (PT) clients. You will:
- Oversee the end-to-end billing cycle for ABA and PT patients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Resolve reimbursement issues and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable (AR).
- Investigate and address claim denials, submitting corrected claims, disputes, and appeals as needed.
- Communicate with insurance companies to secure payments and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Accurately document follow-up activities and maintain organized records.
- Process refund requests, verify credit balances, and perform payment reconciliation.
- Stay updated on payer policies and billing regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with third-party agencies on unresolved AR when necessary.
- Provide support for new hire training and onboarding as needed.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience:
- 2 years of recent AR medical billing experience required.
- Familiarity with Raintree EMS software (preferred).
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to navigate billing systems and communicate effectively with insurance companies.
