What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installer Apprentice position at H2 LLC?
H2-LLC is a leading supplier/installer of glass shower doors, mirrors, bath accessories, closet systems, and fireplaces. We have been in business for more than 25 years.
In this role as an Installer Apprentice, you will ride with our installers to the various jobsites and assist with unloading/loading, carrying and installation of the products. The ability to lift 50-75 lbs. is required, along with the ability to walk up and down stairs, reach, twist, stoop and bend.
This position is entry level and will allow any motivated individual who is able to pick up on the training to become a piece rate installer in the future.
Hours: 6:00-7:00 a.m. start - average 6-10 hours per day Monday-Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in Installation: Work alongside experienced installers to set up and install closet shelving, shower door glass, accessories, mirrors, and fireplaces in residential and commercial settings.
2. Material Handling: Responsible for transporting and handling materials necessary for installations. This includes lifting, carrying, and organizing components to ensure a smooth installation process.
3. Tool Operation: Operate a variety of hand and power tools to assemble and install shelving units, glass doors, accessories, and fireplaces according to specifications.
4. Support Installer: Anticipate the needs of the lead installer while in their presence. Report to the installer and provide assistance, whether it's fetching additional tools, products, cleaning of the site, and or removal of trash and debris.
5. Paperwork Assistance: Help the installer complete any necessary paperwork related to the installation process. Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
6. Punch List Completion: Follow behind the installing team to finish out punch list items. Attend to any final adjustments or corrections needed to meet quality standards.
7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the installation team to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and solve any installation challenges.
8. Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on completed installations to ensure they meet company standards and customer expectations. Make necessary adjustments and corrections as needed.
9. Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients during installations, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
10. Truck Maintenance: Assist in maintaining vehicles, including cleaning, maintaining tire pressure, and loading trucks with materials.
11. Other Duties as Assigned
Work and Experience Requirement:
Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or a related field is a plus.
Basic understanding of construction blueprints and diagrams.
