What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landfill Maintenance Worker (FT) position at Habersham County Board of Commissioners?
This position performs manual labor in support of the maintenance of the County landfill.
Major Duties:
- Picks up paper.
- Empties bag trailer.
- Hauls recyclables, including cardboard, cans, and plastic.
- Cut grass and weeds.
- Transports fuel.
- Pick up County recycling.
- Sweeps office and maintains a neat and tidy office environment.
- Operates a farm tractor and a truck and trailer.
- Operates lawn maintenance equipment.
- Performs other related duties as required for the efficient operations of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia
for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
The successful candidate must pass a Background/Reference Check, and Pre-Employment Drug
Screenings prior to the start of employment.
