We have a vacancy for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team in Austin, Texas. This is a global role leading technical project management within our Tech team and reporting to the CTO. The role will collaborate with country Product Managers and Technical leaders to drive product outcomes to successful delivery.
You will work closely with technical managers across the US, UK, and Australia to plan, track, and de-risk project execution while ensuring alignment with business priorities. You’ll collaborate closely with technical and product teams, as well as users, ensuring that outcomes are well-defined and actionable, with solutions delivered on time and to quality expectations.
You will lead and evolve our technical project management practices, driving structured yet lightweight delivery processes (e.g. SCRUM, Kanban), and ensure alignment between Product and Tech teams. You'll facilitate planning, backlog refinement, and sprint execution, helping technical teams improve predictability and delivery consistency. You'll help the Tech team co-ordinate testing and release planning with stakeholders, tracking dependencies, risks, and readiness for release, ensuring smooth execution with minimal friction. You'll continuously improve our project tracking in JIRA, ensuring full transparency into project status, risks, and blockers for both technical teams and leadership.
You will provide senior leadership with clear project visibility through structured reporting while proactively managing risks. Additionally, you will drive a culture of continuous improvement, helping teams refine their approach to project execution and delivery.

You Will Be Responsible For
- Ensure projects are effectively planned, tracked, and executed in a low-friction manner
- Maintain alignment between Product and Tech teams to achieve successful product outcomes.
- Provide senior leadership with clear project visibility through structured reporting.
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives and progress tracking across Tech teams.
- Promote transparent communication across teams, ensuring that expectations, dependencies, and risks are well understood.
- Increase adoption of tooling to ensure accurate and transparent project tracking.
- Proactively identify risks and define action plans with Tech managers to keep projects on track.
- Work closely with Product to define clear, actionable, and well-prioritised PRDs.
- Ensure that solution designs outline technical approach, align with business objectives, and minimise risk.
- Expertise with IT project and workflow management tools, in particular effectively utilising JIRA.
- Strong understanding of Agile project management and delivery methodologies such as SCRUM & Kanban.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to track and report on project performance.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A pragmatic approach to process implementation - focusing on impact over bureaucracy.
- Experience leading technical project management in a global, multi-region organization.
- Experience maturing existing project management practices and educating managers.
- Experience expertly managing stakeholders and balancing the needs of Product, Tech, and senior leadership.
- Experience managing technical projects end-to-end from collaboration with Product on PRDs to tech delivery.
- Experience working with software development and data science teams, preferably coming from a technical background yourself.
- Evidence of strong leadership, able to bring about change and collate the information needed to inform stakeholders and highlight issues.
- Experience working in energy, or related industries.
- Knowledge of power markets or the renewable energy sector.
