What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Coordinator position at Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter, Florida?
The Fleet Coordinator ensures that all HFHLS vehicles are well-maintained, comply with safety regulations, and are available to meet transportation demands. The Fleet Coordinator assists the Dispatch Services Manager and is in the office most of the time. Specific areas of responsibility include:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Dispatch Services Manager with scheduling and routing pickups to ensure efficiency and timely operations
- Maintain an electronic database of all HFHLS vehicles, including their make and model, VIN, purchase date, current mileage, maintenance, and any outstanding repairs that need to be made
- Ensure that all HFHLS vehicles are insured and registered
- Manage vehicle licensure and registration
- Coordinate with third party vendors to arrange maintenance and repair services for vehicles
- Schedule regular maintenance on all vehicles
- Order urgent or emergency repairs as needed
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs on Dispatch Services trucks
- Manage and resolve issues related to vehicle breakdowns or accidents
- Monitor vehicle data and driver behavior to identify areas for improvement
- Manage fuel cards and fuel purchases for Dispatch Services
- Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure all HFHLS vehicles meet regulatory and company standards
- Develop checklist and conduct regular safety inspections at the Eustis and Leesburg ReStores
- Assist with the development of the Fleet budget and then monitor performance to budget monthly
- Serve as backup driver and helper
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered
- Proficient with computer software such as Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn job-related computer software such as ThriftCart and MyGeotab
- Mechanically inclined with experience in vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and push at least 100 pounds
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have commitment to the Habitat mission and uphold its values and ethics
Working Conditions:
- Full time position covering Lake and Sumter Counties
- Moving and lifting furniture, appliances, boxes, and other donated items in homes and at the stores
- Travel required within our two-county service area
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34,000.00 - $36,000.00 per year
