One of New Yorks top plaintiff personal injury firms seeks an experienced Associate with immediate availability. We are proud of our long history as a highly respected personal injury law firm, known for our commitment to excellence and exceptional client care. The Associate must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and will be responsible for handling a caseload of approximately 120 cases in litigation, made up of motor vehicle, premises liability, and general negligence accident cases.

We are looking for a highly motivated multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude. Candidates should be able to complete tasks quickly but accurately, communicate clearly and effectively with other team members and maintain organized and accurate reports related to case files. The ideal Associate has experience in the day-to-day handling of personal injury cases, drafting and filing legal documents (including pleadings, discovery demands and responses and motions) and attending and preparing for depositions, court appearances and mediations. The ideal candidate aims to provide world-class service in a professional and ethical manner to our clients while working to maximize the resolution of each client's claim. This is a fast-paced and high-volume position

Associate Responsibilities :

Upholds client and firm confidentiality

Interacts with clients regularly (at least once every 60 days) to ensure the client is kept informed about events and the progress of their case as well as legal issues

Performs File Reviews that efficiently advance the case

Responsible for identifying & complying with statutes of limitation

Responsible for drafting & filing complaints, pleadings, motions, discovery and responsive pleadings

Conducts and attends depositions, hearings, conferences / appearances & mediations

Maintains utmost professional standards towards the Firm and its clients

Associate Requirements :

Strong customer service skills

Excellent communication skills

Highly organized, efficient and proactive with an attention to detail

Superior writing and oral advocacy skills

Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible or cannot be improved

Law degree from a fully accredited law school

An active member in good standing with the New York State Bar Association

Ability to manage high volume of litigation cases

Self-starter driven by long-term career goals

Bilingual, preferably Spanish, is a plus but is not required

Job Type : Full-time, In-Office(Manhattan Office)

Salary : $125,000.00-$200,000 per year (commensurate with experience) case commissions at settlement
