Job Summary:
Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks or curbs to specified textures; using hand tools including floats, trowels and screeds. The employee will report directly to their Foreman.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Smooth out concrete in segments to ensure the concrete that is poured is level
- Arrange the concrete forms
- Spread concrete
- Level concrete by using special blades, making sure all lumps and bubbles are smoothed over
- Smooth high spots and fill depressions
- Wash away excess concrete
- Finish corners by hand
- Use machines that vibrate concrete to fill air pockets
- Use groovers and hand trowels to spread concrete
Qualifications:
- At least one year of relevant concrete experience
- Provide own tools: hammer, pouch, edger, float and trowel
- Able to work Saturdays when needed
- Must be able to show proof of identify and right to work in the US
- Must be able to pass drug screen
