RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Shipping and Packaging Clerk at Hader-Seitz responsibilities encompass a range of essential for final paint, packing and shipment of all product leaving the New Berlin, WI facility.
Packaging and Protection: Package all product in a appropriate manner to prevent transportation damage during shipment to the end user.
Transportation Coordination: Verify transport method for shipments. Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Communication: Act as a central point of contact between departments and suppliers, including sales, scheduling, purchasing and transportation services. Maintain open lines of communication to verify shipment details, resolve any discrepancies, and relay inventory requirements.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage consumable inventory for shipping and paint supplies. Keep accurate records of stock levels, anticipate replenishment needs, and collaborate with the purchasing to restock required items.
Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy of packing lists, bills of lading, and quality documentation.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Physical Requirements
· Occasionally crouch or kneel
· Stand for 3 hours
· Lift 50 lbs to waist level multiple time an hour
Job Requirements
· Package/count product for stock or shipment by courier and truck
· Understanding of shipping methods and transport types
· Ship product using UPS and customer shipping portals
· Contact carries by phone for pickup when required
· Generate and print pack slips and bill of lading
· Palatize, measure and weight product for shipment via truck
· Comfortable working and palatizing product weighing over 2 tons
· Retrieve stocked inventory for shipment
· Safe use of crane to package product when required
· Computer proficiency in use barcode system to scan in/out of jobs, issue/return issue material, email and online shipping portals
· Accuracy in reading/interpreting process sheets, written instructions, and part counts
· Track and maintain inventory of consumable packaging with purchasing
· Track and maintain consumable paints with purchasing
· Communicate with sales when required to verify customer preferred transport
· Record production serial number when required
· Complete required quality documentation for shipment
· Pass forklift safety and operation certification for standup and sit-down forklifts
· Experience working safely in an industrial manufacturing environment
· Assist in hanging, removing, and cleaning parts for painting
· Maintain a clean work area
· Ability to work as part of a team to quickly solve setbacks
