Job Description:
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the shipment of goods to ensure timely and accurate delivery. This role involves coordinating with carriers, tracking shipments, preparing shipping documents, and optimizing logistics operations. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and shipping regulations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
KRA #1 Shipment Coordination & Logistics Management
- Plan and schedule shipments to meet customer and business requirements.
- Coordinate with freight carriers, couriers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Ensure on-time deliveries by tracking shipments and resolving delays or issues.
- Optimize shipping methods to reduce costs while maintaining efficiency.
KRA #2 Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and invoices.
- Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations, including customs requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, freight costs, and carrier agreements.
KRA #3 Inventory & Warehouse Support
- Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and packaging.
- Assist in inventory control by tracking incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or lost shipments and initiate corrective actions.
KRA #4 Customer & Supplier Communication
- Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, tracking updates, and delivery expectations.
- Liaise with suppliers to coordinate incoming shipments and resolve any logistical issues.
- Address customer complaints or concerns related to shipping and delivery.
KRA #5 Process Improvement & Reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance shipping efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor shipping KPIs such as on-time delivery, freight costs, and transit times.
- Provide reports to management on shipping performance and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred).
- Experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse coordination.
- Familiarity with domestic and international shipping regulations.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of shipping software, freight management systems, and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics tracking software.
