Lead-Quality

Corvac Composites LLC of Morgantown, KY is seeking to fill the position of Lead-Quality. The purpose of this position is to provide oversight and support for the Quality Management Systems at all Corvac locations in the Morgantown, KY area. This is a first-line, hourly supervisor role.  Hours will generally be 6am-2pm Monday-Friday but overage for off shifts and on weekends may be required from time to time as well as overtime.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Adhere to and enforce all Corvac policies and procedures 
• Fully participate in and support the Corvac Quality System
• Fully support Corvac EMS and Safety Systems 
• Awareness of Emergency response 
• Protect company assets and maintain confidentiality when required
• Ensure the team is aware of day-to day responsibilities
• Perform required continuous training and development in a timely manner 
• Oversee the Quality auditing and inspection process of the production floor and incoming inspection, including the training and supervision of Quality Auditors
• Communicate customer concerns and requirements to appropriate personnel
• Coordinates and supervises the day-to-day activities of the quality function on the plant floor and resolves production quality concerns
• Perform Quality checks in a timely manner as required
• Ensure paperwork and reporting is properly completed
• Provide repair priorities to Maintenance
• Provide effective shift to shift communications
• Stive to consistently Meet or exceed KPIs 
• Ability to Identify team strengths and improve weaknesses
• Ability to delegate
• Ability to maintain professional composure in stressful situations
• Strong ability to motivate, lead, and give directions to team members
• Have good time management skills

• Ensure housekeeping is satisfactory and operator areas are neat and clean, Enforce 5S procedures
• Other duties as assigned

The qualified candidate must possess the following skill set:

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• 3 years in automotive manufacturing quality assurance
• 1-2 years minimum in supervisor role
• Be able to stand, walk, bend, and twist for 8-hour shift
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. 
• Be able to use and read a tape measure and other measuring devices as required 
• Flexibility in working hours to include nights/weekends and OT as needed
• Some travel may be required for training and/or customer issues

Special Skills preferred:

• Forklift License; ability to get and maintain license if previous experience is not present
• CPR/First aid certified
• Working knowledge of Microsoft programs and CMS
