Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting orthodontists with various procedures. Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilizing instruments and managing infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Manage patient records, ensuring accurate medical documentation and adherence to privacy regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging and assist in creating orthodontic appliances.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:
- Familiarity with dental terminology and general dentistry practices.
- Understanding of medical records management and documentation processes.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to orthodontics.
- Proficiency in infection control measures and aseptic techniques.
- Experience with medical coding is a plus.
- Familiarity with operating 3D scanning systems is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $20.06 - $20.97 per hour
