Position Overview:
As a Banquet Captain, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the Haggin Oaks Banquet Staff, including Bartenders, Banquet Servers, and Dishwashers, to ensure our customers' needs are not just met but exceeded. This position requires a hands-on approach to delegate assignments, cover for absent employees, and provide exemplary customer service during catering events.

Key Responsibilities:

· Supervise and train Banquet Staff to ensure a positive guest experience during banquet functions.

· Collaborate with the Catering Sales Manager to set up banquet rooms according to specifications.

· Participate in Catering Operations meetings to understand the specifics of each event.

· Ensure the serving of beverages and food follows the proper sequence for consistency.

· Manage the timely removal of dishes at the end of each meal/function.

· Uphold Morton Golf policies, including those related to the serving of alcoholic beverages.

· After events, reset banquet rooms based on Catering Sales Team's specifications and instructions.

· Promote a safe, healthy, and injury-free work and customer environment.

Qualifications:

· Experience: Previous hotel or catering service experience required.

· Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Skills: Excellent customer service, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. A thorough understanding of banquet/catering setup, presentation, and service standards.

· Character Traits: Strong work ethic, professionalism, team player, and a role model promoting Morton Golf's core values.

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
