Job Title: Event Sales Manager

Reports to: Event Sales Director
Location: Haggin Oaks Golf Course

Rate of Pay: $27.00 hr. Quarterly Discretionary Incentives

FLSA Status: hourly, non-exempt, full time

Position Overview

Morton Golf is looking for an experienced Event Sales Manager to join our team. The Event Sales Manager will be responsible for promoting and selling our event spaces and catering services to both new and existing clients. This role’s primary goal will be to maximize revenue opportunities by securing bookings for a wide range of events, including corporate functions, weddings, tournament catering, and private parties. This position requires a combination of sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to attract and retain clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and target markets.
  • Conduct site visits with potential clients, showcasing our facilities and catering options to highlight the unique advantages of our venue.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and contracts to clients.
  • Work closely with the banquet and event planning team to ensure seamless execution of events, from initial inquiry through to the event day.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client communications in the Planning Pod system.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to inquiries and resolving any issues that arise to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality, catering, or events industry.
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of sales techniques and principles.
  • Proven track record in sales preferred.
  • Must have previous experience with weddings.
  • Ability to meet minimum requirements to operate a motor vehicle while meeting the requirements of Morton Golf, LLC Insurance Policies.
  • Proficiency in Customer Relations Management (CRM) software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
