Job Title: Facility Custodian at the Hagyard McGee Medicine Center

Department: McGee Medicine Center

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure the cleanliness and presentability of the facility, including common areas, on a daily basis.
  • Ensure hand sanitizers are maintained, refilled, and working properly throughout facility.
  • Maintain adequate stock of paper towel and soap dispensers throughout facility including barns and restrooms. Inform Medicine Office manager of stock needed and/or malfunctioning units.
  • Refill NDC, AHP, and Rescue bottles throughout the facility.
  • Maintain appropriate labeling of cleaning/sterilizing containers (e.g. spray bottles, foam dispensers).
  • Wipe down all door handles, light switches, and windows throughout the facility.
  • Clean breakroom tables and counters 2x daily or more often as needed.
  • Clean employee and doctor breakroom refrigerators biweekly or as indicated based on use.
  • Clean ultrasound machines.
  • Clean, organize, and restock footwear storage cabinets, at minimum weekly, more often as needed.
  • Clean interior of van daily or as indicated based on use.
  • Sterilize fluid ropes and hospital accessory equipment as indicated.
  • Maintain cleanliness of washers, dryers, and dishwasher within facility. Notify Medicine office manager of maintenance concerns.
  • Clean windows weekly to biweekly or as needed to maintain facility cleanliness.

  • To constructively communicate progress, problems, or other issues requiring attention to the appropriate supervisor, doctor or member of management.
  • To offer solutions and demonstrate a positive attitude when dealing with clients, supervisors, doctors, management, other team members, and outside vendors or suppliers.
  • To maintain a professional appearance and a courteous attitude.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is:

  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and smell.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule: Saturday to Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Overtime as directed. All time off to be pre-approved by McGee Medicine Barn Crew Supervisor & Office Manager.
