District-Based Resource Room Teacher
DRS Yeshiva High School for Boys seeks a Full Time District Based Resource Room Teacher to join our exceptional school faculty in fostering a culture of academic exploration and excellence and dedication to spiritual, intellectual, and personal growth of all students.
Our ideal candidate will :
Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with learning differences in a supportive, resource-room setting.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies and interventions as needed.
Tailor instruction and interventions to meet the unique learning needs of individual students.
Attend district meetings as needed and ensure compliance with all district and state guidelines for special education services.
Administer testing for student reevaluation
Participate in DRS staff meetings and professional development opportunities as part of the school community.
Requirements :
Valid NYS Teaching Certification in Special Education or a related field.
Experience working in a resource room or special education setting, preferably at the high school level.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and district personnel.
Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working in a yeshiva or religious school setting.
Knowledge of learning disabilities, ADHD, and other challenges that may impact student performance.
