The OEM Account Manager is responsible for driving and achieving sales goals by managing the business relationship for assigned Truck, Trailer, and/or Tier 1 OEM accounts.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive and achieve sales goals by managing the business relationship for assigned accounts.
  • Build a network of contacts, including key decision-makers within customer organizations to obtain important customer input and garner support for Haldex initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with corporate goals for profitability.
  • Utilize Haldex resources to maximize revenue and provide best in class customer experience.
  • Promote advantages of Haldex products and services to defend against competitors and achieve growth plans.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to secure long-term business and to resolve disputes for the best outcome.
  • Assist Haldex Leadership to define customer expectations and determine how to meet or exceed these expectations.
  • Provide competitive information and market analysis to Haldex leadership.
  • Implement specific programs as required by Haldex leadership. 
  • Report customer activities as directed utilizing Microsoft Dynamics CRM (COMPASS) system.
  • Comply with all employee company policies and procedures.
  • Continuous improvement mindset:  not only related to customer sales and margins, but also personal goals, objectives and personal growth and development. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing and 5 - 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Progressive sales and/or leadership experience in the Commercial Vehicle or Automotive Sector. 
  • Exceptional technical aptitude within the scope of products offered by Haldex including vehicle applications experience and a knowledge of common commercial vehicle braking systems
  • Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally for a combined total up to 70%
  • Strong public speaking skills and deliver effective presentations to customers and colleagues
  • Ability to:
    • Read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. 
    • Professionally respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. 
    • Write and deliver presentations that conform to prescribed style and format.
    • Effectively present information to various levels of business that include top management, customer groups, and/or boards of directors.
    • Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and inference, and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions to practical situations. 
    • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Products - Specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word. 
  • Proficient in the use of Database/ERP software; Internet; Knowledge of Contact Management systems and Project Management software.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.  Must be able to sit for lengthy periods of time.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds on occasion.  Should be able to work a flexible schedule and be willing to endure frequent travel via car and/or aircraft.

The noise level in the work environment will vary from quiet to moderate, depending on the specific duties the employee is doing at that time, with occasional work with moving mechanical parts and/or outdoor weather conditions.  The employee will experience the general conditions and environment of any continental and intercontinental travel.
