Hales Corners Care Center is a 24-hour skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing quality care to our residents with 62 bed rooms which includes 44 private rooms. Our services include 24 hours nursing care, Medicare certified beds, physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The primary function of this position is responsible for a team of residents to render general nursing care in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Administer approved nursing techniques to prescribed medications and treatments
- Prepare and aid the Physicians during treatments and examinations of residents
- Continuously observes residents for any significant conditions and reactions of residents and notifies Nurse Supervisor or Physician of resident's conditions or reaction to drugs, treatments and incidents
- Perform duties as outlined for Nursing Assistants in performing daily duties as needed
Requirements
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Wisconsin
- Prior long-term care experience or post acute care preferably
- Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of nursing care
- Demonstrates interest and positive attitude about working with long-term care residents and the elderly
