Dental Assistant/Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated ,skilled Dental Assistant that is registered with the State of Tennessee to join our dynamic dental team. Our ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures
• Be flexible with being needed in other areas of the office
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
• Take digital X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate medical record keeping using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft
• Manage patient appointments and follow-up care, ensuring a smooth flow of operations within the clinic.
• Monitor and record vital signs of patients prior to procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic environment.

Skills

• Proficiency in dental terminology
• Familiarity with dental assisting techniques and practices.
• Experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft
• Knowledge of taking X-rays and understanding radiographic principles.
• Strong organizational skills for managing medical records efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
